This is an exceptional opportunity for talented Analysts to join a niche Financial Services consultancy which continues to grow both domestically and internationally.

Overview
Analytics sits at the heart of the business and you will interface across all business functions. Success in the role will be based on consistently providing high quality analysis and recommendations in-line with the business strategic direction.

This is an opportunity to develop from an Analyst into an industry specialists. You will become an expert in your filed but will also be encouraged to work across multiple business lines to broaden your capabilities.

In a Nutshell
To support successful value management of portfolios by;

• Solving complex business problems and providing practical value-based solutions
• Developing models to maximise value and minimise risk for our clients and the business
• Taking accountability for performance reporting

Specific Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis to predict, measure and interpret business and market trends to inform key decisions both in the UK and internationally
• Provide analytical support to business functions to optimise performance
• Segmentation of portfolios using statistical techniques
• Managing the set-up, management and validation of data
o Working with clients, suppliers and internal process owners to identify and understand available data and data formats
o Evaluation of all data sources with the analysis of business implications
o Identifying and addressing data issues and gaps
• Maintain a strong awareness of competitor and market capabilities
• Analysis of correlation between econometrics and business trends

Candidate Profile

• Good Honours degree level qualification in Mathematics, Science or Engineering
• Exceptional numeracy and keen attention to detail
• Experience with database environments and data set manipulation particularly in SQL / SAS and Excel
• Distinctive problem solving and analytic skills with a high degree of analytical rigour
• Proven experience in the use of complex analytical models at delivering high quality output to tight deadlines
• Experience in financial services
• Financial modelling of cash flows and NPV / IRR (Desirable)
• Knowledge of segmentation techniques, such as logistic regression & Chi2 (Desirable)
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and VBA (Desirable)
