Description:

A small and friendly organisation based in Swindon are looking for a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team. You will report into the Accountant and duties will be as follows:

Collection of cash and resolution of account queries to specified timescales.
 
Ensure that appropriate telephone contact is made at the earliest possible stage on overdue debts, in accordance with credit control timetable.
 
Build and maintain excellent relationships with the customers to ensure smooth running of the accounts.
 
Send reminder letters if telephone contact does not result in payment.
 
Answer queries and enquiries from customers.
 
Ensure correct allocation of receipts to the appropriate account and against the correct invoices.
 
The input of cheque receipts into cashbook on a daily basis.
 
Ensure new customer?s details are correct and the relevant credit checks and bank references are done to ensure cover on the credit insurance.
 
Suspend credit facilities in accordance with credit policy.  Ensure the director/s are in agreement.
 
Be aware of duties performed by other team members to enable adequate cover to be provided at all times of holiday or absence.


Candidates must have experience in both Sales Ledger & Credit Control.
