Description:
This Surrey based client is looking to recruit an experienced Collection Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will have a proven collections/risk background gained within either a financial services, banking, leasing or factoring environment.The main purpose of the role is to minimise losses through the early identification and assessment of non-performing accounts, then take appropriate action to return the accounts to a performing status, or making the decision to terminate the relationship.
Essential functions and responsibilities within the role include:
- Monitoring an assigned account portfolio and investigating related deficiencies
- Continued risk assessment
- Deficiency management & resolution of problem loan accounts
- Problem loan workout, end of finance rescheduling
- Litigation and insolvency handling
- Repossess inventory
- Managing asset repurchase or disposal
- Effective commination with both internal and external contacts to minimise deficiencies and any potential bad debt
- Risk/Collections experience gained within a leasing/ financial services environment
- Proven ability to effectively negotiate and influence
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Computer literate
