Collections Officer: Career opportunity in Coventry, West Midlands.
This accountancy role will be reporting to the Collections Manager and the overall purpose of the role will be to To regularise arrears situations on all types of mortgages, unsecured personal loans and overdrafts, keeping losses to a minimum whilst still providing customers with effective counselling and advice. Core activities:
  • To manage the day to day case load of customers and ensure correct actions are taken in a timely and effective manner
  • To ensure that the actions taken to recover bad debts are done in a professional manner
  • To communicate effectively over the telephone
  • Take responsibility for coaching new or less experienced members of staff

Knowledge and understanding of the principles of credit control.
Mortgage processes.
Legal requirements in respect of repossession actions.
Understanding of the importance of providing accurate, first class service to all customers
