My client is a financial services provider, they are currently looking for a Collections and Recoveris MI analyst to provide analytical support to the Collections and Agency Relationship Managers. The role will focus on utilising analytical tools (particularly SAS, SQL and Excel) to undertake data interrogation and reporting on a regular and adhoc basis. The position will suit a junior analyst who is keen to develop as part of a small team.Key Tasks
Maintain and develop existing collections and recoveries daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
Provide the Agency Relationship Manager with relevant performance analysis and auditing for agency visits.
Provide the Collections Manager with relevant performance analysis for client visits.
Identify, investigate and resolve any data flow issues throughout our collections and recoveries process.
Ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives requiring data-driven business cases.
Liaison with our Analytics Team to ensure the collections and recoveries databases are populated, maintained and developed correctly.
Key Experience/Skills
Educated to degree level, the likely candidate will have experience using a number of analytical tools preferably within a Consumer Financial Services arena. Experience of working in a collections and recoveries environment would also be an advantage although not essential.
A good knowledge of SAS, SQL and MS Excel is required, together with strong numeric skills.
Attention to detail and strong data manipulation and interrogation skills are vital.
Ability to present and explain data to non-analytical staff is mandatory.
A desire to develop and to learn about all areas of collections and recoveries.
The candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and an enthusiastic approach.
The ability to work independently within a small team environment and as a team player is critical.
