My client is a worldwide leader in the Pay Television sector for subscription video on demand and broadband websites.As the result of a newly formed business unit, a new position for a billings professional across EMEA has been created. The purpose of the role is to take over revenue recognition and invoicing for the business that has no more than 1,000 clients and an annual turnover of over $600m.
Responsibilities include;
* Management of revenue recognition process for EMEA through a combination of quarter end accruals and monthly actuals
* Work with Sales and Legal departments to ensure that all new contract terms are entered in to the system accurately with review/approval maintained
* Ensure that subscriber numbers are reported by clients and entered accurately in to the system for billing/revenue recognition on a monthly basis, with tight controls to follow up with clients who are not reporting timely
* Review and approval of monthly/quarterly invoice generation
" Work with credit and collections teams to assess credit risks for new clients and ensure that effective follow up is being made for outstanding invoices
* Coordinate compliance with the Minimum Control Standards and SOx
* Co-ordination and execution of periodic audit program for licensees to determine validity and accuracy of their subscriber number reporting
* Optimise procedures through constant search for efficiencies and best practice
* Manage card inventory and billing for Smartcard clients
* Work closely with the finance team to provide information to help generate forecasts, budgets and five year plans based on existing contract terms
* Provide inputs for quarterly cash flow projections
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience in and AR/invoicing environment, proven staff, project and change management experience, with experience of SAP and superb communication skills.
