Description:
The job holder will understand the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules relating to their work sufficiently to be able to comply with them, relying on their knowledge or on their ability to recognise that they will need specialist support
- To work as part of the Corporate and Government Credit Management/ Collections team based in Stockport Office.
- Take responsibility and maintain ownership of assigned customer base.
- Promote and implementing Credit Management Policy
- To undertake the effective collection activity to obtain earliest possible settlement of overdue accounts.
- To improve cash flow at every opportunity by encouraging preferred payment methods and educate customers to improve payment patterns in a positive manner, and minimise bad debt/risk exposure.
- To maintain accurate records/documentation and ensure reports are actioned within the agreed timescales
- Previous experience in a pressurised Credit Management /collection environment
- Target focussed and desire to meet personal objectives.
- Self motivated.
- PC literate and adaptable to new technology.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work to agreed measures within demanding time scales
