Description:
My client is a well respected retail bank that is currently looking for a credit analyst to assist in the development and application of first class credit risk quantification and credit portfolio modelling techniques. The ideal candidate will assist in the overview/development and implementation of credit analysis tools used within the company.The ideal candidate will be able have the following demonstrative skills;
Highly numerate, qualified to degree level in a mathematical discipline.
IT skills and programming skills. SAS and/or SPSS would be advantageous
Good planning, organisation and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail & quality focus
The main focus of the role will be;
Working as part of team to manage the delivery of accurate model build and approvals within agreed timescales.
Participation in the review of credit models developed, to identify issues as appropriate.
Provide support as directed in researching and Prototyping new credit techniques and systems as appropriate.
Provision of analytical support to Group Credit Risk teams and specified divisional contacts.
Participation in risk reviews undertaken by Retail and other divisional facing credit teams.
Undertake key learning activities to ensure understanding of the impact of Basel II requirements on the credit modelling environment, and transfer of that knowledge into day to day tasks & responsibilities
The role can be summarised as but is not limited to:
Development of mechanisms to model aspects of the Banks credit exposure on a consistent basis using probability of default and loss given default.
Development of regression based credit scoring models.
Assist in reviewing models and credit analysis developed by the divisions.
