Description:

My client, a well known blue chip company, are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Analyst to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis.
Duties include:
  • Analyse, recommend and approve lines of credit and loans based on analysis of financial and credit information
  • Analyse and negotiate complex security requirements for credit extension
  • Conduct periodic credit reviews of current financial data to reevaluate and confirm creditworthiness of existing customers
  • Resolve and advise on day to day bad debt claims
  • For all new customers in the portfolio, analyse and approve for lines of credit and loans based on analysis of financial information, credit reports and/or credit experience
  • Obtain and monitor adequacy of security to support lines of credit and cash sales
  • Maintain credit terms to reduce exposure and minimise losses
  • Review relievable portfolio on a daily basis
  • Take appropriate action when accounts are past due and/or over credit limit
  • Initiate extensive communication with external customers, Marketing, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control to identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies and disputes associated with product invoicing and other areas of customer interface
  • Act as a consultant to Marketing business units on procedural aspects of credit management
  • Provide technical advise to assist Marketing personnel in the development of on special sales, incentive and other programs which will impact invoice processing, receivable management and other financial systems processes
To be considered for this role you must have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Financial or Accounting Degree (ideal)
  • Substantial previous experience working in a similar Credit Analyst role
  • A demonstrated ability to read and analyse companies accounts in order to assess the credit risk on a customer
  • Strong IT skills including- MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access (ideally have previous experience using SAP)
