Description:

Working for a medium sized company within the manufacturing industry, the role will entail managing the debt collection procedures, preparing reports, working closely with the service department and working within defined targets.
Main responsibilities:
  • Administer debt collection processes of approximately 700 live accounts according to the specific debt collection procedures.
  • Liaise with solicitors.
  • Work closely with the Service department, including weekly/fortnightly meetings, to ensure that queries are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepare weekly report for review with Financial Accountant to monitor debt collection.
  • Prepare monthly report and commentary for review with Financial Controller.
  • Work to ultimate aim of collecting 98% of debt within 60 days of the due debt by the end of 2007.
  • Other ad-hoc duties

Skills / Competencies / Experience:
  • Strong administrative ability
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Focused and determined and able to work with operational/non-financial staff to resolve queries.
  • Comfortable working in a target driven environment
  • Good excel skills
