Description:
FTSE 250 company company requires a Credit Controller with a minimum of six months experience. A large finance team of nearly 500 people, there are many opportunities that are available for the successful candidate including both vertical and horizontal progression.The Job
The responsibilities will include but will not be limited by the following:
Ø To chase all clients to ensure that the ledger is kept in good shape
Ø To build great relationships with clients finance teams, especially the majors
Ø Adhere and develop effective credit application procedures and account acceptance criteria
Ø Develop effective credit control & cash collection procedures with the objective of keeping the debtors ledger >60 day column to 25% of overall balance
Ø In conjunction with the Ass Financial Controller and with reference to the cash flow forecast, predict monthly cash collections
Ø Work with and educate the bookings department on the need for sound client acceptance criteria and establish procedures with bookings for order taking, ensuring a PO is obtained before any work is commenced
Ø Report to Ass Financial Controller as directed on cash collected v. target
Ø Prepare stop list monthly and distribute to relevant staff
Ø Prepare a monthly list of PO?s outstanding and chase the relevant people so that this list is eliminated quickly
Ø Encourage a culture of cash collection responsibility in each division to assist with debt collection
