Description:
Managing a team of nine this role demands previous supervisory experience. You will be managing two regions, with 20 ? 25,000 live accounts and a monthly ledger value of £20mil.The main purpose of this position is to:
Ensure customer accounts are paid each month to a target length of credit, with discipline and negotiation.
Reduce & maintain aged debt 30+ days to agreed objectives
Provide regular, accurate management information to both external customers and other departments within the company
To monitor and control effective running of the ledgers within the area of responsibility and to ensure good relationships exist between the credit department, customers and depots.
To maximise the teams collection of debt ensuring remedial solutions are provided to ensure debtor days, over 90-days are reduced in line with targets and provide training, coaching, support and deal with general none performance situations within the team
To ensure that together with the depots/sales team, the accounts are run in a way that facilitates timely and efficient billing, administration and payment of account
You must have proven experience within credit control and ideally a background in the service sector.
You will ideally be studying towards the ICM qualification, support for this is available.
