Description:
The role is for a Credit Controller to join the Finance team, and be responsible for the following duties:
- Process account applications and perform credit checks and set-up credit limits for new accounts;
- Chasing debt via phone, written reminders and progress chasing up to litigation;
- Assess ongoing credit requirements vs. financial risk;
- Identify balances at risk and initiate timely action to minimise losses;
- Assist in internal KPI reporting, as well as maintain general cash accounts and manual invoice account by matching receipts with invoices then clearing balances + monthly reconciliation of outstanding balances;
The role is varied and more than just the usual collections.
The client is looking for someone who has worked in a Finance environment, preferably in Credit Control.
A UK driving license due to the possible necessity to travel to meetings with litigation, customers and third parties.
Familiarity with SAP would be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of German would also be useful.
The client is a manufacturer of glass windows and is involved in the building industry. The company is financially successful and in the process of growing their headcount throughout 2008. A European company with it's UK headquarters based in Milton Keynes.
The client is offering free parking at their office in Milton Keynes, a salary up to £20,000 with working hours between 8:30 - 5pm Mon through to Thursday, with early finish on Friday at 3:30pm.
They do also provide pension, healthcare and potential bonus.
