Description:

Currently recruiting for a 4 month temporary role working for a large local College in SOuth London. You will be responsible for:
·         Processing income transactions through the sales ledger and cashbook
·         Credit control and debt management
.         Management of queries from students and staff regarding fees and other income
.         Raising invoices to students and their sponsors. Maintain records of instalment arrangements.  Collection and recording of fees paid. Carrying out credit control activities to ensure fees are collected within agreed credit terms.  Assisting in the forecasting of cash receipts.
.       To ensure that financial procedures relating to income and credit control are maintained within and to assist in the development of systems and procedures.
Assist in accounting month end and year end tasks including bank and other account reconciliations
Contribute to the efficient operation of the Finance Department
Other financial and administrative duties within the Finance team as directed by the Financial Accounting Manager.


Skills:

Understanding of basic Financial Accounting concepts
 
Good Computer literacy including word processing and spreadsheet packages

Experience of working in an accounting role in a busy finance department
 
Experience of credit control and financial processing
 
Experience of processing sales ledger transactions
 
Experience of establishing effective working relationships with finance staff and external customers
 
Experience of communication both on the telephone and in writing and dealing with debt collection agencies
