Description:
This company is a significant subsidiary of a FTSE 100 organisation which can boast itself as being one of the uk?s foremost facilities service companies. Turnover in 2008 is expected to exceed £600m (Group £4Bn). The company and the finance function have undergone enormous change in the last two years with two substantial acquisitions and aggressive growth plans (Turnover, profit and cash).The Credit Controller will be responsible for developing and maintaining good and trusted relationships with the customers to ensure that payments are received from clients in accordance with the company?s current term of business and other relevant procedures
- To follow up outstanding debt by telephone and letter with current and previous customers and arranging for payment to be made within agreed time scales.
- Contacting clients one week prior to invoices becoming due via telephone for collection and dispatching relevant statements and letters in accordance with credit control process
- To develop trusted relationships with customers.
- To liaise with customers, management and operational teams to resolve and monitor problems and ensure all customer queries are followed to payment/resolution (whether resolution is internal or external)
- To administer customer queries, ensuring complete and timely response from other business units (where required) and record chase history including keeping track of all correspondence and actions taken
- To use a detailed and methodical approach to prioritise workload to maximise reducing debt
- To maintain and open Customer Accounts in accordance with relevant procedures
- To accurately and promptly allocate cash
- Other relevant ad hoc duties as required.
