Description:

A leading international software provider with a reputation for excellence within its specialist sector is currently looking to double its credit control team due to constant growth and expansion.  

Responsibilities:
 

  • Setting up new accounts
  • Check the accuracy / legal identity of customers on contracts 
  • Monitor credit limits
  • Chasing payments by telephone, e-mail and letter including sending final demand letters as directed by Credit Manager
  • Suspend accounts as directed by the Credit Manger
  • Ensure all queries are actioned and resolved within a reasonable time scale
  • Ensure unallocated cash is kept to a minimum
  • Posting cash receipts to the relevant customer account
  • Daily reconciliation of accounts
  • Account resolution
  • Working with the accountant during the month and at month end to resolve
  • Provide a weekly update on overdue accounts to the Credit Manager
  • Any other duties as required by Credit Manager .




Skills / Experience:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service, dealing with customers in a professional and efficient manner
  • Proven experience in credit control
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and targets
  • Flexibility in responding to a change in duties within the credit control department as required
  • Must be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Experience using Oracle, SAP or JDE would be desirable
