Description:
My client, a market leader within their field are currently recruiting for an interim Credit Manager for a period of up to 12 months. This role is newly created due to the centralisation of the credit function in Northern Ireland.Reporting to the Group Credit Manager the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
• To provide a professional credit control service to the NI business by maximising cash flow and minimising bad debts whilst managing our credit risk and providing accurate, timely and relevant information to the management team.
Duties will include:
- Responsible for implementing and amending company policy on credit control.
- Responsible for ensuring customers adhere to the agreed payment terms.
- Responsible for debtors ledger ?housekeeping?.
- Allocating customer payment to debtors? accounts.
- Creating direct debit files and submission to bank.
- Raising credit notes and posting to ledger.
- Employing collection techniques as appropriate, including letters, phone calls and stop-lists.
- Maintain good communication with sales team, keeping them informed and enlisting their help when appropriate.
- Dealing with customer queries and the supply of PODs and copy invoices as requested.
- Obtain credit reports on customers as required.
- Manage progress on accounts passed to third parties for collection.
- Scan delivery notes to facilitate electronic retrieval of PODs.
- Management of staff.
Candidates will need to have a proven track record in of managing credit control teams in a fast moving large environment. A self starter, highly motivated with a continuous improvement focus. A fast learner, open to new ideas and an ability to engage fully with all business operations.
