Position: Commercial Credit Control and Credit Risk ManagerLocation: London and Bristol
Working for a significant subsidiary of one of the UK?s leading financial services organisations. You will provide an integral service for the insurance division of the group. This is an unrivalled opportunity for a Commercial Credit Manager to establish themselves within a market-leading organisation.
Currently this subsidiary can boast figures such as:
- Currently managing over 26 million policies, making them the second largest general insurer.
- They are the UK's largest motor insurer and the second largest home, travel and pet insurer.
- They now have 2 million motor policies internationally and they are the largest direct insurer in Spain.
- They are a growing player in the SME commercial insurance market providing protection to customers through a network of around 3.000 brokers
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for driving your department in achieving all service levels and objectives. In doing so, maximising the recovery of debt from Customers and minimising the cost of recovery. You will lead on all debt issues for your relevant business units and maintain strong relationships with other business units to ensure front-end processes are efficient and do not lead to bad debt.
Key duties:
- Overseeing and motivating the debt management function consisting of 17 staff, split between Commercial Collections and Credit Risk teams.
- Responsible for management of the credit quality and credit risk of a £250m portfolio within group standards.
- Manage Credit Quality and Credit Risk within strategy parameters agreed with the Commercial Executive.
- Develop own annual operational plan and budget to include staff development.
- Establish alongside the Head of Finance Operations and Reporting the key performance indictors required for reporting purposes.
- Work with current structure and establish new processes alongside I.T teams to maximise potential Management Information output.
- Develop an environment that supports the management, motivation and development of your team to maximise the achievement of the business, individuals and objectives.
- Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules, requirements and principles of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and any other legal, regulatory or risk management framework.
- Ensure adherence to the regulatory, compliance and audit requirements.
In order for you application to be successful your CV will need to clearly demonstrate proven experience in the management of more than 8 staff, Credit Risk, Collections and Management Information reporting.
