Description:

Credit Product Development Manager

Liverpool

In the world of retail, things happen fast. Especially at Shop Direct, where we focus on doing what’s right for our customers. Our credit products generate a substantial part of our overall income, which is why we’re building a new team to review and build on our current product portfolio. Whether they choose to pay on purchase, select an interest free option or go for a buy now pay later scheme, we want to develop a suite of products to match our customers’ lifestyles and evolving needs.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Credit Product and Commercial Development, you’ll develop and deliver credit NPD initiatives to strengthen our market position. Working in line with overall business objectives, you’ll develop a suite of products that meet the genuine needs of our client base, building relationships across the group to maximise the product offer and profitability. In today’s lending resistant market, this role will offer a unique opportunity to drive third party ventures, whilst increasing your visibility within the group.

About you
A graduate, you’ll have significant experience within financial services NPD, preferably within the credit arena. Commercially astute, you’ll combine financial awareness with an instinctive grasp of what our customers need and have the communication, persuasion and determination to bring them to market.

About us
With companies ranging from Littlewoods, Kays and Very through to Marshall Ward and Woolworths.co.uk, and some 400 national and own brands such as Nike, Diesel, Miss Sixty, Dyson, Bosch and Sony, Shop Direct has something for everyone. We have our own financial services business and, with a turnover of £1.6 billion and with 5 million customers overall, we’re the largest home shopping and online retailer in the UK. Some 56% of our products are now sold online – and we’re on track to hit our target of 80% by 2010/2011. In fact, we want to become the home of online retail. And you could help us get there.
