Location: Leeds
The primary purpose of the Credit Risk Analyst is to support projects or analysis of one or more credit risk disciplines in support of loan portfolios. The focus will be on the full range of Credit Risk, from application policies and strategies to impairment and forecasting. The right candidate will have the opportunity to deliver initiatives from the initial analytical stage right through to implementation, directly impacting the P&L.
You will have responsibility to structure and execute research and analysis into past test results and competitive ideas as well as to work with other team members to drive business action based on your results. You will co-ordinate test/roll-forward analysis with other parts of the business: e.g. Finance, Forecasting and Modelling, Marketing. You will be responsibility to facilitate working meetings, preparing and presenting discussion material as well as resolving issues with other parts of the business.
Successful candidates have to demonstrate commercial skills by creating and implementing project task plans to accomplish business plan objectives and understand business plan and the financial impact of all programs. You must also understand financial and managerial accounting.
The successful candidate must have the skills to use standard statistical packages such as SAS (preferred) or SPSS. Should be able to recognise, anticipate and create solutions to issues and problems in a timely manner and have a clear understanding of the methods underlying predictive modelling.
