About the Role
Our Retail Credit Risk department are looking to recruit Credit Analysts and Modellers with responsibility for Secured / Unsecured model and strategic developments.
Working within this key business area you will work in a dedicated team to develop and maintain best in class models and strategies. Covering the entire credit lifecycle from acquisition strategies to pricing and loss forecasting the role plays a key part in ensuring the successful delivery of critical business decisions.
The key responsibilities of the role are to:
• Develop and maintain application and behavioural scorecards
• To develop and maintain Basel expected loss models
• Support the integration of Basel metrics across the Society
• Undertake portfolio stress testing
• Provide in depth analysis to support acquisition, retention and wider strategies
• Ensure best practice and latest thinking
The position will provide you with the opportunity to take on an advanced technical role, delivering business focussed analysis and risk management expertise. You will use your knowledge to provide complex analysis both individually and as a mentor for junior analysts.
About you
Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in a numerate discipline, you will have a positive attitude, a flexible approach and a proven track record of managing and delivering data driven projects. To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you have a mix of strong business, people and technical skills and you will also demonstrate the following qualities:
• Extensive experience in a retail credit risk environment, including substantial experience in a hands-on analytical / modelling role.
• Strong communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively and provide guidance on technical issues
• Highly PC literate with significant knowledge and use of Excel and SAS.
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
• A logical approach and an attention to detail.
• Ability to deal with conflicting demands and prioritise deliverables.
