Description:

A new job for a Credit Risk Analyst based in the City of London.
An excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with trading accounts and MI reporting experience to make their mark upon a large blue chip organisation in London.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the potential credit risk of new agencies.
  • Signing off credit reviews of up to £1 million without reference to the manager or credit committee.
  • Approve new accounts or decline giving full reasons for this decision. Agree the refusal with the specific areas
  • Risk assess commercial policies on an individual basis and sanction where appropriate.
  • Review the ongoing financial exposure of existing agents.
  • Maintain the database ? quality and accuracy.
  • Help co-ordinate and review broker compliance from a financial perspective.
  • Produce monthly reports to be collated and distributed to senior management
  • Ensure that data and info is clearly understandable and effectively communicated and create new information databases, where appropriate.
  • Develop self through further study / learning in order to maximise personal contribution to the job.
  • Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules and requirements of the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC), Financial Services Authority (FSA) and any other legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks.
The Successful candidates attributes:
  • Experienced in Trading Accounts and MI reporting.
  • Insurance background would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Conscientious and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and make calculated judgements with minimum supervision.
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups and Macros)
