The Role
Undertake the financial analysis and review of the Company’s extensive motor dealer data base preparing credit papers for approval within the department or for local / Head Office Credit Committees, making recommendations as appropriate.
Working within a credit team, undertaking individual credit and risk assignments as directed e.g. dealing with all aspects of credit underwriting, reviewing behavioural patterns, liaison with external customers and suppliers obtaining relevant and up to date information for analytical purposes.
• Undertaking risk rating analysis by using the group’s risk scoring model
• Analysis of customer financials including P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflows in order to measure and determine ongoing financial viability
• Analysis and review of non financial information relating to the behaviour of the customer and by determining any emerging patterns giving rise for concern
• Reviewing existing and new security requirements in support to lending proposals / reviews
• Formalising credit recommendations to relevant authority levels from local level to Executive Credit Committee held in Madrid
• Following through on credit sanctions ensuring conditions of sanction have been fulfilled prior to release of facilities
About You
• Ideally, the successful applicant will either have direct lending experience within the Motor Finance sector or, transferable skills from the wider financial services sector
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with an understanding of the key financial ratios
• Personable and a good communicator
• Some experience of dealing with external lawyers in regard to the taking of tangible security would be an advantage.
