Description:

My client, one of the leading blue chip Financial Services groups is seeking to expand its Risk Department at its Head Office based in the North-West of England. They are currently seeking an additional Credit Risk Modelling Analyst to augment the existing team in implementing the Group credit risk strategy, chiefly by designing and maintaining the credit risk models, strategies and decision systems in situ whilst optimising the balance of risk versus reward.

You will undertake investigation, analysis and making recommendations for the design. As well as managing amendments to credit and behavioural scoring models and processes under the guidance of Senior Management. You will develop and maintain all documentation and control of procedures, systems and model methodologies that will meet rigorous QA requirements and those of the Basel regulators. Whilst analysing, collating and manipulating both internal and external sources of data you will contribute to the enhancement of risk management strategies.

You are an experienced Credit professional, confident of challenging assumptions, are strongly analytical with a solid foundation across a range of financial products. Preferred candidates will have a degree in numerical discipline, ideally experience in credit risk management, specifically detailed working knowledge of crediting credit risk models and decisioning systems. An ability to use SAS, Excel, and manipulating large data sources is ideal. A detailed knowledge of financial products, including knowledge of the differences between various types of lending products in a banking environment will be a significant advantage.

The package will be commensurate to the successful candidate's experience and background.
