Responsibilities
Customer/Portfolio Predictive Modelling
Development of high-quality predictive models (response, attrition, underwriting, behaviour, fraud, collections and recoveries, BASEL II and IAS39)
Assist in the accurate, timely deployment of models and documentation that are compliant with applicable internal or regulatory requirements
Advance Decision Science capabilities and increase our learnings to ensure that we become and remain industry leaders in our field
Delivery and reporting of model monitoring to all our stakeholders in line with Group Risk standards
Ensuring models are implemented as intended and remain fit for purpose
Research and evaluate new data, tools and methodologies to optimise the quality of predictive models and provide solutions to enhance current decisioning processes
Optimise use of technology and information to improve forecasting of key drivers of customer lifetime value throughout the customer relationship
Candidate Profile
Good modelling background
Practice of SAS, or similar statistical package
Data management skills
Quality and Controls ability to assess validity of work delivery
Communications skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable way for both technical and non-technical audiences
Planning & organisation ability to prioritise work in order to maximise value for the business
Innovation Ability to develop innovative ways to solve complex problems, within particular constraints.
Awareness of the economy, market and customer trends affecting the business
At least a BSc (2:1) in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or other numerate discipline
Practical experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems
