Overview
The role is responsible for maximizing data capability in order to optimise the effectiveness of Fraud Strategy, Policy and MI across all products and all fraud types.
The role is also accountable for the reduction of fraud losses through the effective management and monitoring of various fraud models and systems in place such as Falcon.
Responsibilities
Construct short term and long-term plans and strategies to reduce fraud across all Western Europe portfolios
Evaluate, analyse and leverage a range of statistical and written information in order to recommend, review and implement decisions that will have a positive impact on the P&L of each Fraud portfolio.
Supervise analysis of current and historic data (e.g. authorizations, write off data) to keep our systems at the cutting edge of fraud detection.
Supervise regular evaluation of fraud strategies that are implemented from both an operational and financial benefit perspective.
Monitor and develop in-depth knowledge of the portfolio and industry-wide fraud trend by analyzing fraud tracking MI.
Involve and lead the efforts in development / enhancement of new and existing Fraud MI.
Accountable for providing expert consultancy to stakeholders in all fraud and governance issue
Candidate Profile
Ability to make decisions using analytical data
Experience in the financial industry.
Completion of a degree in a numerate or semi-numerate subject or significant relevant experience.
The ability to understand and commission complex analysis to support strategy testing.
The role holder also needs a strong commercial focus and a good understanding of the drivers of profitability.
Communication and persuasion skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences
Clearly demonstrates a can-do attitude which successfully overcomes barriers
A passion for adding value to the business through the production of empirically sounding policies and approaches.
Understanding of issues relating to card and non-card fraud. Knowledge of each fraud type and their typical attributes.
