Description:

An excellent new interim assignment with a high turnover, Luton-based company. My client is seeking an ICM Qualified Credit Manager to assist with various duties as detailed below. Excellent opportunity to work for a progressive company. Highly competitive salary of circa £15ph.


Key Responsibilities: -
 
  • To give advice on the credit worthiness of new & existing clients
  • To review finance management information relating to revenue collection targets as agreed with the Head Of Financial Operations.
  • To work alongside operations in determining the most appropriate approach to following up payments and dealing promptly with incoming queries.
  • To monitor ?at risk? clients and highlight any major payment issues.
  • To initiate legal proceedings against bad debtors.
  • To liaise with solicitors and / or insolvency practitioners in relation to bad debts.
  • To conduct client visits alongside branch teams and handle client complaints, as appropriate
  • To provide management information / statistics relating to the credit control function, as directed by the head of financial operations
  • To manage the credit control team and take pro-active approach in their professional development
  • To carry out any other task, deemed to be appropriate to this role, as directed by the head of financial operations
  • Maximise the use of IT systems, particularly the MIS capability and accounts packages (Dream & JDE), to be able to answer and deal with all queries
  • Ensure reconciliation of Self Bill clients is maintained.
