Junior Data Planner Role Overview:

Data Planner / Data Account Planner required to work for successful Marketing Agency. Based in Central London, this award winning agency boasts an impressive range of brand name clients in a diverse range of industry sectors. This role is well suited to a candidate eager to further their career in a data driven, marketing environment. You will work closely with a strategic marketing team, consisting of senior data planners, account managers and 3rd parties (such as list brokers, database bureaus etc) to develop successful customer communication and targeting strategies. You will become involved in all elements of data driven marketing projects from customer targeting & profiling, database marketing, campaign and communications planning and data strategy. You will be required to utilise your analytical skills, such as Excel, SQL, SAS, SPSS or similar and will become increasing client facing as you gain more experience of data planning.

The person:

This role is well suited to a candidate with some experience in a data driven marketing environment (either client or agency side) in a analytical role or data driven role, using tools such as Excel, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Campaign Management Tools or similar. You will be extremely keen to pursue a role offering you career development and training opportunities in marketing analytics / data planning and will be able to display the following skills:

- Advanced Excel skills (VBA and macros beneficial, however not essential)

- Experience in a data driven marketing environment, ideally that uses either SAS and / or SPSS. Your experience may include positions such as: Campaign Analyst, Insight Analyst, Campaign Management, Campaign Executive, Data Account Executive, Account Manager (in data environment), Data Planner, Marketing Analyst, SAS Analyst, SPSS Analyst etc

- Enthusiastic and communicative person, with the ability to liaise with clients and internal departments. You will be eager to become more involved in formulating comprehensive data strategies and working in a client focused role

- Strong academic background in relevant area, such as Maths, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research etc
