Reporting to the International Credit Manager, and working within a team of four, you will be directly responsible for providing an effective and professional credit control service in one or more practice areas, ensuring monthly cash targets are met.

More specifically your day to day duties will encompass:
  • Maintaining a portfolio of aged debts in order to ensure timely collections and effective management 
  • Generating reminder letters on ARCS (Accounts Receivable Collections System)
  • Following up reminder letters by telephone, email, fax 
  • Regular meetings with Partners to discuss debts
  • Reporting on firms major debtors 
  • Initiate fortnightly meetings with the International Credit Manager 
  • Passing files to the Litigation Department and monitoring progress 
  • Ensuring client queries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Liaising with the Cashiers dept regarding allocation of monies
  • Updating client information and checking billing information on ARCS 
  • Writing off bad debt 
  • Filing and other ad-hoc duties
The ideal candidate should have experience as a credit controller within a law firm although consideration will also be given if you have worked within the professional services sector. In addition to this you must have a confident, professional, well organised approach to your work, an ability to communicate at all levels, particularly senior partners, be computer literate and ideally have previous experience with CMS / ARCS (desirable).
