My client is a dynamic and ambitious consumer financial services company based in the Southeast of England. They are currently looking for an Operations Project Analyst. The Operations Project Analyst position provides an exciting opportunity to join a small team and truly make a difference in building a business while expanding your knowledge and experience of the credit card and consumer lending industry.The Role
The Operations Project Analyst plays an integral role in supporting the management of all operational aspects of my clients business. This comprises of 2 key elements; 1: ensuring that the operational infrastructure, systems, and front end call centre, which are primarily outsourced, support the company’s specifications, policies and procedures. And 2: supporting the management and driving forward of new and ongoing projects associated with the credit card operation, in line with appropriate methodology, to achieve time, cost and deliverables requirements.
Job Purpose:
Operations Support
Although day to day Operations are outsourced, it is critical that these activities are carried out as per requirements. This will involve policy and procedure creation, implementation, and ongoing management, undertaking aspects of quality control, new and enhancement requirement evaluation and progression/submission management, capacity planning support, regular liaison and meetings with relevant parties (internal and external), maintenance of action and update logs, performance reporting and performance management of activities as required.
Project Support/ Management
Working closely with all internal colleagues along with 3rd parties, you will facilitate execution of key projects from definition to completion stage e.g. Requirements definition, Plan creation, Risk Management, and update reporting. You will need to devise and conduct internal testing where required. There will also be a requirement to analyse and manipulate data and produce relevant reports. Good communication skills, in addition to project management skills are essential, as you will be liasing with a broad spread of people, up to Board level, along with outsource partner(s).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Daily and ongoing Operations support/management
• Project management of all projects and activities throughout the life cycle
• Liaison and Relationship Management of internal and external parties
• Maintain a log of all issues and actions and progression of items to resolution
• QC/Comfort testing of existing and new functionality
• Production of management information
Experience and skills required:
• Cards experience essential, preferably covering business, technical and operational environments.
• Project management – with ability to manage multiple work streams/projects. Formal project management qualification beneficial.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal, problem solving and influencing skills.
• High energy levels, a positive outlook, and a willingness to enthuse colleagues and business partners about strategies is essential.
• Diligence and attention to detail
• Team player with ability to work in small team
• PC Literate – specifically with experience of MS Project, Word, Excel
