Overview
To manage the respective business unit to deliver to agreed budgets (sales, retention, income and profit) and strategies.
To ensure that the product, customer service and back end operations meet the needs and expectations of the customer base and to achieve the growth and profitability objectives of the Bank.
To own, develop and deliver the relationship with the outsource provider.
Key Dimensions
Development and delivery of the strategy, plans and budget for the identified product.
To ensure the delivery of exceptional customer management, ensuring that a best in class supply chain is developed and maintained.
To be the identified figure from for the relevant product. To ensure market, competitor and comparator knowledge is maintained and analysed and fed into the development of strategies and campaigns.
To work with the Marketing and Channel teams to ensure that customer interaction is consistent across all bank products.
To purchase support from internal service providers including, inter alia, Marketing, Channel and Finance.
Delivery of comprehensive business plans within required timescales new business and portfolio management.
Responsible for recommendations for product re-pricing and amendment of product features.
Manage budgets, ensuring all planned activities are within budget and achieve their stated objectives.
Management of the customer journey, ensuring that an exceptional customer experience is delivered.
Responsible for defining MI requirements and ensuring accuracy of MI reporting including commission reconciliation against an agreed effective commission.
Candidate Profile
A minimum of 3 years experience in a product management, product development, relationship management or a marketing role within a relevant financial services environment.
Team leading experience of the outsourced model is essential, with particular skills in managing across a wide range of knowledge bases.
Project management experience in complex multi-functional projects.
Superior communication skills with proven understanding of the value of research and understanding customer needs and expectations.
Previous experience in identifying and initiating marketing activities, and liaising with marketing services and in-store promotional teams on delivery of these activities.
The ability to operate and influence at the most senior levels (including internal and external forums) is essential.
