Job Title: Risk Analyst – Scoring & Modelling
Location: Bracknell - Berkshire
Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 + Bonus & Package


Our client is one of the world's largest financial services companies, with lines in automotive finance, commercial and residential mortgages, and insurance.

Role Breakdown


Develop and Monitor Models

• Produce scorecard monitoring reports in SAS and Excel utilising current reporting code
• Undertake SAS development work to further optimise the scorecard monitoring code
• Present the results from the monitoring report to senior Managers and Directors
• Assist with the development of new application and affordability models
• Deal with queries relating to models and their business application

Analyse Arrears Performance

• Analyse arrears performance and produce Risk Committee reports to drive business decisions
• Liaise with Business Intelligence to improve current arrears reporting structure and process
• Undertake analysis to explain trends in the data and communicate findings to management

Valuation Risk Analysis

• Maintain and improve regular reporting on valuation risk
• Monitor and analyse the business’ exposure to property valuation risk
• Undertake reviews and analysis on valuation strategies and on the performance of valuations

Ah-Hoc Analysis

• Undertake ad-hoc analysis to support the UK business, potential investors and other key stakeholders
• Communicate analysis findings to business customers in finance, marketing and other business areas
• Recommend policy, criteria and scorecard changes based on findings of thorough analysis

Candidate Profile

• The job holder must be of degree calibre, preferably with a degree related to maths or statistics
• The job holder must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing with data and figures
• The job holder must have experience in using SAS or similar statistical software (SPSS)
• The job holder should have experience of working with relational databases (SQL)
