Role: SAS Analysts – MI & Fraud Analytics
Location: Coventry
Salary: £26,000 - £38,000 + Bonus, Pension, Shares, Healthcare etc...

Role Overview

• Produce MI and Analytics on behalf of the Financial Crime Unit, ensuring consistent MI is prepared and presented, as well as supporting rule performance across a suite of fraud detection tools and product portfolios

• Create, implement and monitor reports to prevent and detect fraud, responding to emerging trends and attack. Identify, monitor, escalate and respond to emerging fraud trends in MO, attack profile, customer profile

• Meet fraud loss reduction targets through appropriate rule analysis, implementation and suggestions for process improvement. Focus on proactive Detection and remove unnecessary parts of processes

• Liaise with specific key areas of the bank including Group Fraud, Decision Science and UKC Fraud Analytics

Candidate Profile

• Recognised accurate delivery at speed
• Working knowledge of SAS/ SQL and experience of working in a data intensive environment
• Commercial judgement and awareness.
• Experience in a Credit Risk / Fraud / CRM environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel, Access)
• Be proactive (self-starter)
• Ability to absorb large quantities of data at speed, making the right decisions quickly with limited data availability
• Advanced statistical understanding (ideally working knowledge of statistical modelling and neural networks)
