Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus (to 20%) + Benefits

You will be responsible for taking for supporting key business objectives, for building deep client relationships and for identifying opportunities to develop new service lines that will support our international expansion plans. You will also be responsible for becoming a product or domain expert within each business lines to support delivery and development

Role Dimensions

Key Objectives
Specific responsibilities of a Data Analyst include:

• Managing the set-up and validation of new data sets
o Working with clients, suppliers and internal process owners to identify and understand available data and data formats
o Defining data requirements and acquiring necessary data extracts or data feeds
o Identifying and addressing data issues and gaps
o Mapping and structuring data in line with Group data standards
• Providing analytical support to business areas to maximise the performance of portfolios
• Performing in-depth analysis to predict, measure and interpret business trends and inform key decisions
• Segmenting large portfolios using regression techniques

Communication & Work Relationships

You will be responsible for the ongoing identification and implementation of innovative tactics to help us to continue revolutionising our industry. This responsibility spans both our internal product development and our external client facing environment where our Analysts are accountable for managing expectations and delivering quantifiable results.

Candidate Profile
Essential experience includes:

• Good Honours degree level qualification preferably in Mathematics, Science or Engineering
• Analytical work experience, ideally in a high data volume, data warehouse environment
• Distinctive problem solving and analytic skills with a high degree of analytical rigour
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proven experience at delivering high quality output to tight deadlines
• Exceptional numeracy and keen attention to detail
• Experience of either SAS or SQL

Desired experience includes:

• Advanced experience with database environments and data set manipulation
• Experience in using VBA
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint
• Experience in financial services
• Working knowledge of segmentation techniques, such as logistic regression & Chi2
