My client, one of the leading blue chip Building Societies is seeking to expand its Risk Department at its Head Office based in the North-West of England. With a background stretching more than 150 years, this award winning Business continues to be regarded as one the most well run Financial Services organisations despite the current market environment.

With a key focus upon the Group's capital position and risk mitigation you will be at the forefront of both internal and external FSA requirements. An awareness of Basle-related issues and requirements coupled with experience of relationship management is advantageous. You are an experienced Credit professional, confident of challenging outputs of rating systems; strongly analytical with a solid foundation across a range of financial products.

You will be tasked in shaping and driving capital and risk initiatives with a priority of ensuring Group solvency at all times. Liaising closely with Internal Audit and Compliance you will ensure the authenticity of all MI in systems, processes and reporting structures that you and the team contribute.

With a demonstrable track record of success gained in a relevant financial services environment, you are a noted team player and an excellent communicator across all level of management. Strong statistical backgrounds encompassing credit scoring are advantages; the ability to combine a commercial awareness whilst ensuring industry best practice is ideal.
