Overview

Responsible for the development and delivery of performance analysis on product arrears portfolios, as well as supporting the implementation of strategies and processes across both Collections & Recoveries operations.

The jobholder will build, shape and maintain strong relationships with a number of stakeholders across the business; in particular the Credit Risk teams for which the team will not only provide a key interface for information and requests but will also pro-actively provide analysis to support and influence lending decisions based on collections and recoveries product performance.

Accountabilities

• Support the delivery of end-to-end Risk Operations results for Credit Card, Banking, Loans and Mortgage P&L/Impairments.
• A product expert within Risk Operations, through building and maintaining strong business relationships with appropriate stakeholders across Retail – the jobholder is responsible for providing consultancy, where appropriate, to aid decision making.
• Accountable for supporting Senior Manager in delivering Risk Operations product performance Risk Management & Mitigation plans.
• Responsible for the development and usage of a product based reporting and intelligence framework to both drive and influence the right collections and recoveries strategies to maximise product P&L performance.
• Supports the alignment, challenge and management understanding of product arrears forecasts and results. Responsible for developing and producing intra-month forecasting for all lending products.
• Provide input to and support regular reviews with Risk Operations and Credit Risk management that review product performance analysis and end-to-end Risk Operations product performance, driving actions to improve results.
• Responsible to the Credit Risk teams and wider business to provide analytical support as appropriate in dealing with information requests.

Candidate Profile

• Highly numerate with an understanding of advanced analytical techniques.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to lead, manage and deliver business change.
• Knowledge of SAS
• A deep understanding of the processes, key performance drivers and challenges in a collections and recoveries environment.
• Working knowledge of credit risk strategies and scorecard principles.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Collections & Recoveries and/or Credit Risk function within Financial Services organisations.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in an analytic role.
