Description:
My client is one of the UK’s leading financial service organisations. They are currently looking for a senior credit analyst to assist in the independent review of credit risk model development carried out by divisions, ensuring that my clients standards are adhered to.The ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring that the development of models required for regulatory capital purposes meet the relevant regulatory standards. Assist in the development of credit analysis tools used within the Divisions and assist in the development and application of first class credit risk quantification and credit portfolio modelling techniques.
The successful candidate will also review credit models, identifying any issues with model build, design or performance as well as adding value through the identification of potential improvements. This requires the ability to understand and interpret technical/analytical documentation. Assist credit analytics specialists throughout the Group in developing and maintaining credit risk measurement models. Provide support in researching and prototyping new credit techniques and systems as appropriate.
The role can be summarised as but is not limited to;
• Assisting in Group Credit oversight in reviewing credit risk models developed/commissioned by Divisions to ensure that they are fit for purpose and where relevant, meet regulatory standards.
• Provide support and advice to Divisions in their credit risk model development activity through attendance at project milestone meetings.
• Assist in development of credit risk model development carried out by Group Credit
The ideal candidate will be;
• Highly numerate
• Able to show experience of working in a credit risk and/or statistical modelling role.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Qualification to degree level in a mathematical discipline would be an advantage
• Strong IT skills. Knowledge of SAS and/or SPSS would be an advantage
