Description:

The UK's leading group of patent and trade mark attorneys with an associated firm of property lawyers, based in impressive offices in Central London are looking to recruit a Senior Credit Controller ideally with experience developed within a fee-earning or partnership environment.
You will have sole responsibility for both SME's companies as well as Blue Chip organisations with 75% of all accounts being overseas. However, you would not be required to speak a second language.
A newly created position, the volumes and values of the position are yet to be finalised however, the key responsibilities are set out. Due to the open nature of the department, you will be given an extensive amount of responsibility for the ledger including the implementation of new processes, procedures and the streamlining of current processes.
 

Key responsibilities:

• Streamlining current processes for the ledger
• Providing extensive feedback to the Credit Manager on ledger performance and strategies for improvements
• Chase any overdue debt via phone, e-mail and letter
• Ensuring letters are dispatched as formulated in the Credit Policy guidelines and feedback/responses are dealt with promptly.
• Resolving client queries received (copy invoices, claims paid, disputes)
• Processing all post received from clients.
• Ensuring monthly collections targets are met
• Maintaining received cash log, updating daily with payments received via BACS & Cheque
• Assisting the Credit Manager with all monthly reporting
• Reducing the unmatched monies in the bank - allocating to fees or transferring within the business where required
• Sending out monthly statements in line with the Credit Policy, taking all queries, resolving or dealing with partners to ensure resolution
