Job: Senior Credit Controller - Fine Arts
Location - West End, London
Working for a large company within the fine arts industry, the role will entail managing the receivables ledger, providing a high level of customer services to clients, collecting outstanding payments and releasing purchased and unsold property.


Main responsibilities:

  • Client and sale debt collection
  • Chasing clients for payment by dunning letters and telephone
  • Handling client correspondence, client calls - answering/researching purchaser queries, liaising with expert departments.
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Referring credit decisions to the Account Managers along with the charging and waiving of interest based on established thresholds
  • Resolving identification and 3rd party payment issues re. anti-money laundering policy, plus investigating unidentified payments
  • Updating texts and payment blocks
  • Management reporting

Skills / Competencies / Experience:
  • An established background in Credit Control
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • A second language would be desirable
  • IT literate, familiar with financial databases and be able to learn and understand new systems quickly 
  • Team player, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the team
  • Ability to act with flexibility ? exploring new methods and approaches where appropriate 
  • A flexible and adaptable personality, lateral thinking, a willingness to challenge the status quo and to seek constant improvements in processes and client service
