The main purpose of the role will include but not be limited to:
To sanction and structure deals relating to new business propositions from External Sales, Broker Sales and AssetLine teams within Asset Finance
To exercise personal / joint discretion (relevant to the level of seniority and experience) in structuring and sanctioning facilities with the additional benefit of financial and other information provided by the Asset Finance Sales teams
Participate in deal teams visiting prospective customers as necessary
Undertake sampling of accounts on a regular basis
Assist in the maintenance of existing credit risk policy and make recommendations for additions / improvements as and when appropriate
To assist in the monitoring and controlling of high value credit exposures
To develop the Credit / Sales partnership and key relationships with the Sales Teams, Generalist Credit and the wider Network.
To assist in the training of others around the business and within Risk.
To undertake and complete ad hoc projects as and when required.
The role holder should demonstrate the following capabilities:
Knowledge of Asset and Sales Finance Credit Policy and Procedures
In depth knowledge of Money Laundering Policy and Procedures
Good working knowledge of Companies Act
Credit experience
Highly numerate and analytical
Good decision making and able to reason decisions through
Good verbal and written communication / persuasive skills in order to come up with the best solution for the business and the customer
Able to work to deadlines in a pressure environment
Good attention to detail
Adaptability and innovation
Able to work within team but at same time under own initiative
