Our client is one of the largest building societies in the UK with a balance sheet of over £11BN and an extensive group structure unique to the building society sector. Following a re-organisation of risk reporting lines, ‘Group Risk Services – Market' is one of four teams within the Group Risk Department that plays an integral part in the functioning of both the Society and the wider Group.Specifically the Group Risk Services - Market team is responsible for managing and reporting the Group's financial risk position, primarily in relation to earnings-at-risk, interest rate risk and market value-at-risk. Additional key responsibilities are the monthly delivery of reports for an executive director level committee and the application of international accounting standards to derivative financial instruments.
