Job Title: Senior Policy Analysts – Cards Account Management
Location: Derby
Salary: £35,000 - £47,000 + Bonus / Benefits

Job Purpose

Review policy framework and product approval process for Cards Account Management (CLI / CLD / Authorisations / Re-issue). This role is responsible for establishing credit policy & detailing risk process. Support business plan and growth and build a strong control discipline for risk.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of product polices to drive profitable portfolio growth under a risk/reward design along with improvement of existing policies to meet compliance..
• Prepare Product Program draft submissions.
• Monitor any conditions / requirements in the Product Program to ensure compliance.
• Develop credit test and significant credit change monitoring MIS and monitor volumes and performance against defined limits and benchmarks, report on and
• material variances and recommend corrective action as needed.
• Assist the Risk Governance team on quarterly Self Assessment tests for cards Policy/Analytics.
• Produce documentation to support new projects/products, credit tests and significant credit changes ensuring compliance.
• Be reference point for Operational teams to check understanding of policy and risk requirements.

Candidate Profile
• Analytical and policy experience in Credit Risk
• Good understanding of the Credit Risk function related to unsecured lending products, including credit initiation, account management, collections and recovery.
• Understanding of compliance/legal, operational & market risks.
• Good understanding of business financial performance drivers and the impacts of credit performance on business results.
• Strong communications skills (both verbal & written) to deliver key information to a cross-functional audience.
• Conflict management & influence skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to work well under pressure & tight deadlines
