Role: Senior Portfolio Management Analysts x 2Location: Leeds
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Overview
The primary purpose of the Portfolio Manager is to lead projects or analysis of one or more credit risk disciplines in support of loan portfolios. The focus will be on the full range of Credit Risk, from application policies and strategies to impairment and forecasting. The right candidate will have the opportunity to deliver initiatives from the initial analytical stage right through to implementation, directly impacting the P&L.
Commercial skills. -Create and implement project task plans to accomplish business plan objectives. Understand business plan and financial impact of all programs. Understanding of financial and managerial accounting.
Analytical ability - Must have the skills to use standard statistical packages such as SAS (preferred) or SPSS. Should be able recognize, anticipate, and create solutions to issues and problems in a timely manner.
Candidate Profile
Well developed personal organisation and commercial acumen, with the ability to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
Communication and persuasion skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Completion of a degree in statistics, mathematics, operations research or other numerate subject. While a Masters degree is preferred, candidates with a good first degree [2(i) or higher] or who are qualified through work experience will also be considered.
Self-starter, able to work on own initiative.
Practical experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems.
Able to present complex analytical concepts to all levels of the business.
