Overview

Decision Management is a multi-disciplined team created to help achieve the optimal balance between risk analysis and business strategy. It provides data driven strategies to optimise the risk / reward relationship, ensuring profitable growth and predictability of results, interacting extensively with other business groups to achieve these goals.

The role will support the development of ECM strategy across the full suite of current and future products, including (but not limited to) Balance Build, Usage, Line extension, Retention and new product design. The successful candidates will be responsible for all P&L creation through to campaign recommendation.

Accountabilities

• P&L Forecasting – Create P&L forecasts for proposed campaigns using all available and appropriate data, working closely with the ECM team to fully incorporate all aspects of the programme. Be aware of all corporate hurdle rates for campaigns to ensure that programmes are submitted for approval and execution only when they generate an acceptable corporate return
• Campaign analysis - produce regular historical campaign summaries to demonstrate the performance of each campaign, identifying and suggesting opportunities for future campaign improvement
• Using existing data, act as an equal participant in all ECM campaign development discussions by providing analytical guidance to design the most best combination of population, offer/product and channel for both the customer and the business
• Segmentation:- Assisting in structuring the portfolio into distinct segments based on common behavioural characteristics
• Universe identification:- Helping to identify and define the eligible population for ECM programs. Looking at ways to expand the profitable audience through analysis and testing of marginal segments.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2-3 years related business experience in a Financial Institution, ideally working in the Credit Card Market
• Demonstrated experience in analysing data and making recommendations
• SAS
• Excel or SQL
• Numerate degree – 2:1+
• Demonstrated P&L modelling experience (preferred)

Credit Risk Scoring Analyst

Role:

Working within the Analytics team you will work alongside the current marketing and finance analysts.
You will be responsible for the design of credit risk and collections strategies to improve profitability, customer turnover, and cross-product usage.
Assist in development of quantitative model(s) involving risk, profitability, loss forecasts, and collections.
Develop loan origination strategies, pricing, line management and collections tactics.
Analyze customer characteristics to anticipate the need for model redevelopment.
You will pay a key role in strategy implementation as liaison between the analytical group and line of business decision makers.

Provide ad hoc analytical support to line of business decision makers.

Applicant:

Educated to degree level, experience in Credit Risk roles in the financial industry experienced in performing data analysis using SASAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft tools required.
Knowledge of analytical methods such as descriptive statistics, logistic and linear regression, experimental design, and decision tree methods (CHAID, CART).
Clear understanding of financial and managerial accounting concepts
Ability to present frequent analyses in a clear and concise manner through written and verbal communication.
