Job Title: Senior Credit Risk Modelling Analysts
Location: Cardiff, Halifax, London, Gloucester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Key Accountabilities
• To develop first class Retail Credit Risk models/scorecards and Analytical solutions.
• To be an active member of a Modelling and Analytics team ensuring that Retail Decision Science builds excellent Retail Credit Risk models.
• To communicate and work with business stakeholders to build appropriate plans and to deliver against these plans.
• To support Analysts in the team, and support Decision Science Senior Managers in the development of wider initiatives across the team.
• Where required, manage junior analysts, including the setting of clear objectives, and providing clear and objective feedback, including both areas where the analysts worked well, and where there is room for improvement. Deliver feedback in a positive and motivating way.
• To be aware of and work to best practices within all aspect of Decision Science Modelling and Analytics.
Candidate Profile
• A good degree in a numerate subject, preferably at a postgraduate level, and preferably in a relevant subject (maths, statistics, operational research, economics).
• At least 2 years experience in the development of risk models in Retail Banking.
• Good knowledge of modern risk management techniques within Retail Banking, and in the use of risk models within such an environment.
• Experienced and competent in the use of statistical packages e.g. SAS (including dealing with large datasets) and model development environments.
• Good communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Some experience and understanding of managing others.
• A high level of creativity, drive, innovation and initiative, with good time management skills.
