We are currently recruiting for an experienced credit controller to join a large company in the Maidstone area. Applicants should have a solid background within credit control where they have worked in a busy, high volume collections environment reporting into a credit manager, they must also have a stable career history.

In this role you will be reporting to the head of credit, working within a team. You will be responsible for your own ledger of clients, collecting all overdue payments, ensuring DSO targets are achieved, allocating payments, resolving extensive, complex queries and reconciling accounts.

Applicants should also have a strong knowledge of invoicing clients with complex billing structures.

Credit Controller - Maidstone

We are currently recruiting for an experienced credit controller to work in a sole charge role for a large company based on the outskirts of West Malling.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for running a ledger of approximately 250 live accounts. Collecting between £ 1/2 million and £1 million per month.

·   Maintaining an effective record of customer interaction through calls, letters and other correspondence
·   Carrying out daily diarised telephone calls to encourage timely payment from customers
·   Carrying out monthly procedures supporting effective collection including statements ?chase letters? and credit hold procedures
·   Opening new sales ledger accounts having reviewed available credit information with the head of finance and IT
·   Liaising with sales support on new and pro-forma customers
·   Liaising with production team with regard to customers on credit hold
.   Assisting the purchase and sales ledger where necessary
Applicants will have a proven track record within a challenging, sole charge credit control position and will be confident in building strong supplier relationships with large blue chip clients.
