Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1.Development of risk strategies that deliver measurable profitable growth.
2.Business analysis and reporting to understand financial performance by risk, key channel and behavioral segments.
3.Optimize both risk and reward performance of the portfolio through understanding customer behavior and the impacts to the key P&L lines. .
4.Analyze the relative success of the current strategy suite. Recommend actions where applicable,
5.Liaise with senior management in key business areas impacted by strategy changes.
6.Partner with key stakeholders in from across the business develop and execute coordinated, robust and coherent treatment strategies


Required

1. Proven numeric background
2. Strong technical skills
- SAS
- CHAID Modelling software
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Proven track record of selling proposals to senior management.

Credit Risk Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled individual for this specialist role. You will need strong analytical experience with a demonstrable understanding of and ability to use statistical techniques and a knowledge of credit scoring principles. Candidates must have an advanced working knowledge of spreadsheets, preferably in MS Excel and experience of using report writing tools such as Business Objects.

The role will involve the development and validation of credit models; analysis, monitoring and reporting on scorecard performance; the development of new tools and techniques for modeling credit risk and credit risk evaluation.

You will focus upon the corporate lending portfolio across the main sectors with clients ranging in size from SMEs to large Corporates; risk mitigation is a key focus and you will be at the forefront of both internal and external FSA requirements. An awareness of Basle-related issues and requirements coupled with experience of relationship management is advantageous. You are an experienced Credit professional with a track record encompassing the full range of lending products currently available from the plain vanilla to the more structured lends.

A statistical background encompassing credit scoring and/or a relevant industry qualification are advantageous Packages are flexible according to suitability and ‘fit' of candidate - the basic salary range is between £28,500 and £39,750 for this level of position.
