This is a highly acquisitive company with revenues in excess of $10bn and due to substantial year on year growth in the UK they are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support the Accounting Manager.

The Role

The focus of this role will be on continued improvement in account reconciliations, development and monitoring thereafter of robust month end procedures, building on a culture of continuous process improvement in all Accounting processes, and re balancing time spent on substantive analytical review of financials. Thereafter and also in some instances in parallel with continued process improvement and partnering with retail finance, shared services, and other internal customer, suppliers, and stakeholders.This is an ideal role for a results driven qualified accountant with prior experience of working in a medium/large company and an effective people manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Finance Manager

The Company

Robert Half are currently recruiting for a 12 month maternity cover. My client has become a market leader in its field and is now in a position of strength moving forward. The business is a growth business in Europe and the industry has seen huge development in the US. This had led to massive expansion across mainland Europe and the UK. My client has a strong team in place and they are looking at bringing in an interim finance manager to oversee the UK finance department during a period of maternity.

The Role

Reporting to the European Finance director you will be in charge of producing and managing the complete accounting process. you will have a team of 4 finance assistants reporting into you. Your primary role is to pull the accounts together whilst implementing, managing and monitoring all financial policies and procedures. You will also be monitoring and analysing all financial projects and cost centres within the business. There will be an element of audit control but your main duties will revolve around continued financial growth strategy. In addition you will have advanced excel skills and have a wide background in general accounting packages. You will work well independently and as a team. You will be accurate and have excellent communication skills. Regular management presentations are required and therefore you will be a confident presenter. A retail background or knowledge of retail mechanisms would be a distinct advantage Salary & BenefitsThis role,is on a temporary basis for 12 months paying £12 per hour.
