Sales Ledger Clerk

The Company

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently recruiting a Sales Ledger Clerk to join a Multi-award winning Wholesale business in Birmingham.

The Role

As the sole Sales Ledger Clerk in the Birmingham Office you will be responsible for the setting up of accounts, credit vetting, cash allocation and query resolution. You'll be working closely with the Credit Control team to ensure payments are posted correctly and in line with month end deadlines. Applicants will need at least 12 months experience in finance, a good knowledge of debits and credits and ideally access to your own transport.

Salary & Benefits

A starting base of £14,000 is offered (rising to £15,000 following probation) plus free parking

Sales Ledger Clerk

Global business provider has a requirement for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their Finance Head Office team in Croydon on a contract basis due to a member of staff going off on maternity leave.

Key responsibilities will be posting of cash, allocation of payments, raising credit notes and account reconciliations. This is a high value, high volume environment so attention to detail is very important. Dealing with queries and liaising internally and externally, you will also be required to produce spreadsheets in excel for management information reporting and assist with all other month end procedures.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised and have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player with a positive attitude.

The contract will initially be 6 months then will review and most likely extended for another 6 months.
